HoppedUp is an iPhone app for rating beers at breweries, made by Rough Idea Software. It has no accounts and no profiles — you find a brewery, rate what you drank, and that's it.
Questions, problems, feedback, or a brewery that won't show up? Email us and we'll get back to you.

It helps if you tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when things went wrong.
Do I need an account?
No. HoppedUp has no accounts, no sign-in, and no profiles. Community ratings sync through your iCloud account, so you need to be signed in to iCloud on your iPhone for those to appear — but nothing you contribute is ever linked to you.
Why can't I see any breweries near me?
The nearby list needs location access. You can turn it on in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › HoppedUp. If you'd rather not, searching for a brewery by name works without it.
A brewery I want isn't listed.
Nearby results come from Apple Maps, and some venues aren't tagged as breweries. Try searching for it by name — name search isn't restricted to the nearby area.
Can I change or remove a rating?
Yes. Open the brewery, find the beer under My ratings, and tap the pencil. Your newest rating always replaces the previous one. To have your anonymous community contributions removed entirely, email us with the brewery and beers concerned.
Where does my data go?
Your check-in history stays on your device. Only anonymous rating values — and an optional short note that is never shown to other users — are shared, so a brewery's beers can carry a community average. The full details are in the privacy policy.
