This privacy policy applies specifically to the One Third Umpire app developed by Rough Idea Software.
One Third Umpire ("we," "our," or "the app") respects your privacy. This privacy policy explains what information the app handles, where it is stored, and the choices you have.
One Third Umpire is designed to keep your data under your control. We do not operate any servers of our own, we do not collect analytics, and we never sell or share your data with third parties. The app does not ask for or store the names of players. The two kinds of information the app handles — match scores and recordings — are described below.
The app stores match information you enter, such as scores, overs, wickets, and team names. This information is saved on your device and is synced through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to your own private iCloud account so that it can appear on your other devices, including an Apple Watch.
This data is stored in your private iCloud account, which is controlled by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy. We do not have access to it and cannot read it. If you are not signed in to iCloud, or you disable iCloud for the app, this information remains only on your device.
The app can record video and audio of play for review. Recordings are stored on your device. You may choose to:
Saving or sharing a recording is always an action you take. When you share a recording, a copy leaves your device and goes to the destination you choose; once shared, that copy is outside the app's and our control. We do not upload your recordings to any server, and we cannot see your recordings.

Because the app records video and audio of play, recordings may capture other identifiable people, which can include children. You are responsible for being aware of, and complying with, any rules, ground regulations, or laws that apply where you are recording, and for obtaining any consent that may be required before recording or sharing footage — particularly where minors are involved. The app helps minimise personal data by not asking for or storing players' names.
The app does not track or transmit any usage data, analytics, or personal activity, and it contains no advertising or tracking technology.
One Third Umpire does not use any third-party services or analytics tools. The only external service involved is Apple's iCloud, which stores your match data in your own private iCloud account as described in section 2.
You can delete a recording at any time from your device's Photos library or files. Match data stored on your device is removed when you delete the app. Match data synced to your private iCloud account is held in your Apple account; you can manage or delete it through your device and iCloud settings. If you would like help removing your data, contact us using the details below.
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. As noted in section 5, recordings may capture minors, and obtaining any required consent is your responsibility.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected here, and the effective date above will be updated.
